I am off to another networking meeting.  I will meet some new people, and catch up with old acquaintances.  Will I get a new client today, or perhaps a referral?  I don't know.  Nor do I worry about it.  I am in business for the long term.  My goal in networking is to establish relationships built on mutual respect and trust.  Some of these will develop into friendships.  Others will become business acquaintances.

Are there any guarantees? NO!  All you can do is out yourself in the position of meeting people.  Then, if you are a person of honesty and integrity, you may meet some like-minded individuals you enjoy being with.  And inevitably, the feeling will be mutual.

Is it worth getting up early in the morning, or going to evening meetings? You bet!
