Hotel ORMC (Not in it for the food!)

I just spent 5 days at Osceola Regional Medical Center. It was a very interesting experience. The staff was excellent. Most of the nurses and attendings made it clear that they were working for my comfort and recovery. I want to commend and thank them. I am not an easy patient!

5 days without a computer or internet access!

It is absolutely amazing how much more time you have to just think about things as you lie in a bed with nothing to do but relax, read and watch TV. BTW, daytime TV is pretty bad :-) I had time to figure out my time management.

I need to thank everyone who called and emailed. It was very uplifting.

But it is still tax season, and I am back in the trenches. I work until I am tired, and I stop.

My apologies. Very rarely do I luxuriate in talking about me. I guess I learned that I need to look out for myself and take care of myself if I am to help others.

The biggest laugh of my stay was the nutrition of the heart healthy menu. Everything on the regular menu was refined carbs and low fiber. Fortunately, I was able to order a custom meal including salad, vegetables and whole grain toast or rolls.

Now that this is out of my system, this blog should be back to normal :-)
