I am proud to be an American!

I am proud to be an American! We have the freedom to say what we want, be all that we can be, and live in the greatest country in the world. All over the world, people cannot speak their minds without fear of retribution. Governments control what a person can thinkk, do and say. Nationalism is a forced entity, not given of free will.

I am proud to be an American! My grandparents came to this country with nothing. They built lives in a new land, learned a new language and worked to earn a living. This is the land of opportunity. Did people resent the incursionof new people from foreign lands? You betcha! But, because they were willing to work hard and not look for a handout, they soon became a part of the melting pot that is this great country.

I am proud to be an American! When I got married, I had nothing. No job experience. No degree. Starting at zero, I worked my way up to owning a number of businesses, all built with sweat equity. This is available to anybody willing to work hard and work smart.

I am proud to be an American! My kids are married, I have a grandchild, and they know and understand how privileged they are to live in the greatest country in the world. This is not arrogance, simply fact!

Don't let anybody steal your dream!
