THERE ARE SECRETS!

What does it mean to be in business? Ask yourself some questions.

1) Is it all about the money?

I sure hope so! If you had all the money you needed would you still run your business? I do believe there are those who work out of love for their profession (teachers and nurses.) Some people really enjoy what they do. If you are one of those people, would you do it for nothing?

2) Do you have all the business you need?

If you do, then you need to reevaluate your business. What would happen if you lost one or two major clients? Would it hurt your business? Would you need to replace them quickly or would you be able to survive with the remaining clients.

3) Do you want more clients?

Are you marketing yourself? Do you have a pipeline? Do you tell new clients that they will need to wait until you can devote the proper amunt of time to them?

THERE ARE SECRETS!

The first secret is meet new prospective clients every day. Make a list.

The second secret is prioritize. Check your business goals and match your prospect list to your goals!

The third secret is CONTACT! Every day, contact at least 10 of your prospects just to say hi!

The fourth secret is track your contacts! Determine what an effective number of contacts is for your business.

Most important secret is FOLLOW UP! This is where most businesses fail. Up to this point you have laid the foundation. Build on that foundation. Followup weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or whatever works best for your business. How do you determine what works best? By tracking your contacts and determining what is effective.
